Woodstock Guitars

Fender introduced the Tremolux in the late 1950s as part of their renowned tweed amplifier series. These amps are celebrated for their classic tones. The 5E9 tweed Tremolux is one of Fender’s absolute classics from the 50s, and is very, very rare today.

Introduced in 1955, it’s essentially a 5E3 Deluxe with trem in a larger cabinet. The amp has a few changes:

  • Carrying handle has been replaced with a new leather item
  • Original 15-inch speaker has been swapped for a vintage 12-inch Jensen speaker
  • Tweed covering has been replaced
  • US-spec 110v power amp with a transformer for EU 220v power built in to the cabinet. This is essential for running it on EU power without modifying the amp.

This 1959 Fender Tremolux is a piece of guitar amplifier history, now ready to rock out for many more years. It works perfectly and is sure to delight any guitarist looking for THAT classic Fender tweed sound.
