The Gristle 90 is the next dimension in the Gristle-verse. A set-neck guitar with the Gristlemaster body shape, it’s loaded with a pair of Fishman p90s. Our own Joe Naylor worked with Fishman to capture the Reverend 9A5 tone in these pickups. The midrange punch and clarity of a soapbar pickup with an option for more hot-rodded sound at the push of a button. A push-pull phase switch in the tone knob means more guitar sounds to explore!
FISHMAN PICKUPS
Fishman Greg Koch Gristle 90 Signature pickups are hum-free, boast extra clarity and treble shimmer, and a push button boost on the control plate kicks in the midrange gristle. Conveniently recharges with USB port at the input jack. For more information refer to the Fishman User Guide in the Support section of our website.
BIGSBY WITH SOFT TOUCH SPRING & ROLLER BRIDGE
Our Bigsby tremolo system feels great and stays in tune all night long! We install a custom Soft Touch spring into all our Bigsbys for easy, smooth action. Our roller bridge works with our Pin-Lock tuners and Boneite nut to create a system that strings glide through every time.
BONEITE NUT
We use “Boneite,” a synthetic bone nut, that is more consistent than natural bone, on all Reverend instruments. It reduces friction, allowing the strings to slide through the nut slots smoothly, improving tuning stability.
KORINA BODY
Korina (aka White Limba) is a medium-light weight wood, highly prized for consistency and tonal qualities. Often found in boutique and vintage instruments, all Reverends feature Korina bodies. A highly resonant wood, Korina is a key factor to producing our lively, responsive instruments that are rich in harmonics.
