Woodstock Guitars

Here’s a 1970s/80s New Old Stock Klira Tone King 345 archtop jazz guitar. Definitely one for the category of “rare find”, this is a finely crafted instrument, reflecting the quality and craftsmanship of German guitar manufacturing during that era.

Klira, a well-respected German guitar manufacturer, was founded in 1887 by Johannes Klier in Schönbach, today Luby u Chebu in the Czech Republic, a region known for its musical instrument production. By the 1960s and 1970s, Klira had become known for producing a variety of stringed instruments, including the pro-level flagship Tone King series, which was favored for its superior construction and rich tonal qualities.

The Tone King 345, specifically, was designed as a high-quality archtop guitar for jazz musicians, totally hand-made, and offering a warm, resonant sound that is ideal for jazz and other clean-toned musical styles. This particular instrument is in practically new condition, with only slight tarninshing of its metal parts showing its age. The guitar is entirely original, including the Shadow Attila Zoller pickup for amplified performance.

The guitar comes with its original hardshell case. This Klira Tone King 345 stands as a testament to the quality and longevity of vintage German guitars.
